McKenna-Buchanan joins Central States Communication Association Executive Board
Tim McKenna-Buchanan of Manchester University has been elected to the Central States Communication Association Executive Board as member-at-large.
It is a two-year commitment, voted on by the full membership of the association. It is an academic organization of communication professionals including college and university professors, students and K-12 educators.
The association, which consists of the 13 states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, is the largest regional communication association in the United States and the fourth largest academic communication association in the world.
McKenna-Buchanan, associate professor of communication studies, is director of the growing Honors Program at Manchester.
The Fort Wayne resident holds a doctorate in communications studies from Ohio University, received a master’s degree in communication from Illinois State University and a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Wayne State College.
